Why not older women
I think that this panel "skirted" the issue a bit. I agree with the one fellow that when men are not looking to be committed they follow the younger ladies. But you see men all of the time with ladies that are less age appropriate (what is age appropriate is an understanding that she/he is less than 10 years +/- your age). But I do also agree with the conversation issue of leaving the "mom" at home and letting the lady inside go on the date. People, not just women, have that problem. I still beg-to-differ that there is more of a tendency for the successful man to go after the younger ladies, because he can, leaving great wonderfully adept at conversation and excitement ladies of the 50's. I think that I should not be living in the south…

We hear you sister! Susan and I as matchmakers do see a certain subset of men with younger women, no doubt. We are not denying that it does happen. BUT....having interviewed, gotten to know, and worked with thousands of lovely, we find that many of them are seeking age appropriate companionship. The number one thing they say they are looking for is someone who genuinely listens to them, makes life easier, and most of all makes him feel comfortable. The women we work with - many in their 50's on up-who connect with a man - simply do these basic things. So hang in there honey! We acknowlege that it isn't easy at any age, often harder as we get older because the pool does shrink, but being kind, thoughtful and treating a man well is the most attractive thing in the world.
