On April 22nd, zGoddess headlined a special event at the downtown Seattle Nordstrom in partnership with Chemistry.com. Guests mingled with each other and sampled tasty appetizers and cocktails provided by Nordstrom, and wine by O Wines. The audience eagerly listened to the helpful dating advice given by Susan and Jennifer. A lively question and answer session garnered lots of thoughtful questions about modern dating dilemmas. I was heartened to hear our guests come forward and tell their stories. In the end, Susan and Jennifer's message to everyone was reassuring - don't worry, be patient. If you keep your mind open to all possibilities, the right person for you will come, at the right time.
The Nordstrom stylists gave great style advice for reinventing your dating wardrobe and showcased the best in spring fashions for both men and women. One key piece, like the fitted buttery leather jacket, that caught my eye, could be enough to jumpstart your spring outfits. Clay, one of the Nordstrom stylists, also showed some simple and elegant pieces for the men that he mixed and matched to create different looks. I loved his first date look - navy blue poplin blazer, blue and green mini-plaid shirt, and stylish dark wash jeans. This was a look that was easy to pull together, and big on impact. What woman wouldn't be impressed with that on a date? In addition, hairstylist Ryan from Margi David Salon, was on hand to help with hair consultations and Trish McEvoy makeup artists expertly brightened complexions with their fabulous makeup secrets and tips. Melonie from Trish McEvoy gave me a great new spring look in a matter of minutes and I was eager to try all her suggestions.
The evening left me with a warm feeling that change is good, that there are always second chances, and that most people are basically looking for the same thing. As Susan and Jennifer say, "we all just want to be accepted for who we are."
