With the arrival of spring, it’s time to take a look at your wardrobe and edit, edit, edit! My rule of thumb for easy, feminine style is a closet full of go to pieces that I can mix and match with ease. Buy the best quality you can. I have always been a firm believer paying a little more for quality, fit and timelessness. These are my favorite pieces that will instantly give your closet an update:

1) The Classic Trench Coat – My all time favorite is the Burberry tan trench. Belted, short, perfect for every occasion.
2) The Great White Shirt– I love Anne Fontaine’s shirts. Buy one, love it forever.
3) The Perfect Blue Jean – Go for a slimming dark denim wash. I like J brand straight legs. The hem should fall mid heel to elongate your leg.
4) The Perfect White Jeans – Again, J brand are the ones I go for. Keep embellishment to a minimum.
5) Cocktail Sheath Dress – For spring, aim for a bright color such as aquamarine, or fuchsia. It should be fitted and close to your body.
6) Tory Burch Tunics – I practically live in these for the spring and summer. Paired with jeans or white pants, it is the perfect casual date outfit. Add some oversized sunglasses, wedges and you are the ultimate in Palm Beach chic.
7) Long sleeved Blue and White Striped T – This look has never been out of style since Coco Chanel paired hers with a chic bob. It’s casual and classic. Look for J Crew’s version for an easy update.
8) Dramatic Statement Necklace – There are so many in stores these days at all prices. For this season, gravitate toward lucite, crystal, and light colored stones to complement your wardrobe.
9) Nude Slingback Pumps– It’s all about nude shoes this spring. These will go with everything!
10) The Decorated Cuff. It’s all about arm candy this spring. Check out Alexis Bittar’s frosted embellished cuffs in all yummy shades of blush.
